Rachel Viggars is a leading advocate for General Practice Nursing and the Director of the Staffordshire GPN Foundation School having co-founded the programme to address nursing workforce shortages and challenges in Primary Care.
As Strategic Nurse Lead at the Staffordshire Training Hub, she has developed innovative training pathways for nurses new to general practice, creating a nationally recognised model for education and professional development.
A Queen’s Nurse since 2017, with over 20 years’ experience as a General Practice Nurse and Advanced Nurse Practitioner in North Staffordshire, Rachel has also previously served as Associate Director of Nursing for the North Staffordshire GP Federation. Rachel is a standing member the RCGP Council as the Nursing and AHP representative
Rachel became a Fellow of the QICN in 2025.
